The pilot has no idea that this is going to be his last day in the cockpit.
The pilot, who flew for 12 years, is now a father of two and lives in Melbourne.
He has spent much of his life flying to Sydney to take a family holiday.
He and his wife, who is a nurse, took the plane on Saturday from Perth.
He said it was an amazing experience.
“It’s one of the best experiences in the world for me, because it’s a lot of work and you get to go to different places,” he said.
The flight was the first time the couple has flown together, but they said it would be another 10 years before they did it again.
“We have been talking about it for a while,” Mr Blythe said.
“She would love to do it again and she’s got this passion about it.”
Mr Blythan said the experience was something that he wanted to experience with his children.
“I would like to see my grandchildren one day,” he explained.
“This is something I’d like to do for them.”
For them to have the experience and the experience of it, it’s something that I can’t wait for.
