Dallas Cowboys linebacker Matt Cassell, who has been with the team since 2010, will be traded to the New York Jets, according to multiple reports.
Sources close to Cassel said that the Cowboys have agreed to trade Cassel and that the Jets will receive the veteran RB in exchange for a 2018 third-round pick, according the Dallas Morning News.
Cassel, 32, has struggled with injuries in his career and has been suspended by the NFL three times.
He has had his share of issues on the field, however, including a hit on the head of a Minnesota Vikings player.
Cassell missed two games with a concussion in 2017 and one game with a knee injury in 2018.
He was not available for comment on Sunday, but he has played for the Cowboys since 2013.
