On iOS 7, Facebook has introduced the ability to sync social media to the device in order to improve the overall user experience.
While the company’s official instructions do not mention synchronization, the new feature can be easily activated using a series of quick taps on the iOS keyboard, like the one below:While the feature does not appear to have any immediate impact on the user experience, it does allow Facebook to save and share some of its content across devices, particularly on iOS.
When combined with the ability for Facebook to sync content across iOS devices, the platform is giving users more control over their social media experience.
As noted by the Wall Street Journal, the synchronization feature is available in the Settings app.
To enable synchronization, users need to enable “Sync” and select “Facebook on iOS.”
Users will then be presented with a menu that will allow them to toggle between the iOS app and the Facebook on Facebook app.
Users can also add friends from within the Facebook app, but this feature is limited to the iOS App Store and cannot be used to add Facebook to the Google Play store.
